1) Training sites- Sigh, a good players nightmare, a bad players gold mine. Now regarding these training sites, the better ones are helpful, great, and kind of pricey but obviously nothing compared to what you are making results wise after learning. Some of the training sites are complete garbage and I would never name drop but they are more for entertainment. Five years ago or so there was a couple out there but no where near now. So lets think of the players on pocketfives leader board, who put in volume day in and day out. These training sites are taking the dead money and making them Okay players, therefore lowering the ROI and overall profit that these constant Multi grinders are making. Now I am not saying people should feel bad for them because instead of making 150K a year they make 120K or something, but what about the decent players like ummm me!! lol. I have recieved coaching from friends who are great players, but it remains harder for the good player to kill the game on a consistient basis due to the average donkey being that much better. 5 years ago the average good player would be among the best and be killing the games, but now a days you have to work that much harder. Consistent losers finally get a clue and seek out these sites and get informed!!!! Now there is still plenty of fish out there, but it feels like the ocean is getting filled more with sharks instead of more Nemos(Finding Nemo..the movie...my attempt at humor). Other games like stud, Omaha, etc..the average player is 10 times worse but in NLHE the avg. player now would have been a sicko 5 years ago.

2) Poker Communities- The same adv and disadvantage as the training sites, although better poker players can talk to players that are already on the top, not too mention who doesnt like getting into heated discussions about why folding KK preflop is a sin and you will go to hell if you do!! But seriously, again going back 5 years, these forums were not filled with people like they are now ALTHOUGH, the good thing about poker forums, the horrific players who pay your monthly car bills usually don't even bother to find these forums, so Forums>Training Sites any day!!

3) The Drama- What have we come to nowadays!! Multi-accounting, using hidden identities, corporate people having Super User accounts, holy crap it feels like Y2K all over but it actually it is happening. Sadly nowadays many people sit at their laptops with tin foil hats on saying that if my AA loses to 22 than its rigged, but it is a serious problem. The most popular is multi-accounting using hidden names, which does give a top ranked player a huge edge if people don't know that the person 3 betting you is not some donk as said on sharkscope, but really a top 20 player. That is whatever to me, but multi-accounting annoys me 10x more. Besides the fact that Pokerstars is better than the FBI at finding ppl who do something wrong, its scary that someone can have 8 names in one multi. Can you say variance killer!!! Now this may have been happening 5 years ago, but it sure wasn't known, and I know that it was less than what is happening now. The corporate people having access to Super Accounts is as scary as it gets. Now if they were smart they would stay under the radar and never be found, instant wealth, but thankfully their not as bright as they should be and start playing like morons while taking down untold amounts of money. Now will this happen again....I hope not, and don't think so, but the people who lost all that money playing high stakes vs someone who can see your cards, now thats a nightmare. Seriously though, I remember back when I was a kid I could leave my front door open and nothing would happen, nowadays it seems like as crime rises on the streets, crime rises on the felt.
